Learning to appreciate Christian history

Over at Historia Ecclesiastica, Michael Haykin, Professor of Biblical Spirituality and Church History at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (Louisville, Kentucky) is compiling a useful bibliography for those seeking reading direction in various eras of church history. To date he has compiled two lists:

1. Latin Christianity
2. 2nd Century Greek Christianity

As anyone who knows Dr. Haykin will attest, he is a first-rate scholar and devoted Christian who loves God, the Christian church and is devoting his life to helping believers understand and appreciate the rich legacy left by faithful believers who followed the way of the Savior before our time.
