Yes, Virginia, good things do happen near Jane & Finch (northwest Toronto)
Despite the “bad press” that northwest Toronto frequently receives, God is doing a wonderful work at Thistletown Baptist Church on Kipling Ave. just north of Finch Ave. Pastor Ken Davis leads an effective ministry here where the amazing Jehovah Shalom Youth Choir and Band hangs out.
If you want to be refreshed in your spirit, and if you want to be reassured that God is at work in our city’s youth, mark June 13th on your calendar and take in the annual concert by this group.

I saw this group before. It wasn’t that good, not too organized.

It’s important to remember that this is not a “professional” group, but rather young adults who are committed to following Jesus Christ and lifting up his name in worship.
And I expect they get better every year.
